12 weeks - three months. Unborn babies' hearts start beating around four weeks. Most women discover they're pregnant 4 to 8 weeks into their pregnancy. The real questions for you to ponder are: When does life begin? What are the unborn? What is abortion? Does placement determine value (inside or outside)? Does size/appearance/shape determine value (that's a what?!). Can two wrongs make a right ( can non-A = A)... I'll let you think about that one.
With modern technology and medicine, premature babies are being saved under extraordinary circumstances and at unheard of ages - around 21/22 weeks ( a little over five months) I believe. Science and medicine are leapfrogging the law, creating a situation where it is legal to kill the unborn who could be viable outside of the womb.
All life is sacred and precious. Over 50 million planned abortions have been performed in the US since 1973 alone. Most abortions occur in the first three months of pregnancy. According to the pro-choice Guttmacher Inst. in a 2004 poll, nearly 25% of abortions were performed due to concerns over the health of the mother or the baby. Less than 2% were due to rape or incest...
The law does not create nor determine morality. For those of you who think abortion should be okay in circumstances of incest or rape; DNA removes the value of that life all of a sudden? Do not wash away your principles out of emotive, political or pragmatic reactionism. Rape and incest are despicable acts, but let us not punish a complete innocent for that which they have zero control over and subject them to such a violent, terminal act.
... As a pragmatic aside, think about those numbers and consider our current economic situation. Our current social security solvency issues. Over fifty million voters, workers, tax-payers, entrepreneurs, inventors, leaders, opportunities... Souls...

A picture is worth a thousand words. All you needed to do was to show the photo and say “This is what we all looked like at 12 weeks in the womb.” and your message is crystal clear. (Of course, your further comments are much appreciated!)
This is not what a 12 week fetus looks like.
Thanks. There has been some discussion about that.
I completely understand where you are coming from, i am now 12 weeks pregnant with my 3rd beautiful child. I think it is wrong to put a tag on people who have abortions, there are a few people i know who have had abortions, 1 of them was a drug addict, 1 was raped and 1 of them was only 16. I know having sex u are playing with the chances of creating life, and it’s not nice to think about killing anybody especially an unborn child. but a drug addict cannot give that child a life, it would have been put into care (i work with children in care) the majority of young people in care have attachment problems, drug problems and authority problems. to me it’s not fair to have a baby whilst taking drugs for that child to be weened off and then dumped into care for a confusing, where do i belong, future. the same with rape, that is no fault of anybody’s other than the mans, i know from past experience of rape, i got pregnant and had an abortion. to this day i think about it, but when that little child grows up and asks questions. imagine where in life those answers will take him/her? there are enough fuck ups in this world without creating anymore. accidents do happen, its the girls that are just plain stupid and have abortion after abortion because they are down right thick as fuck slags that need to have the talk and made feel guilty. but the majority of woman are very caring people and given the opportunity again would not put themselves in the position. I think it’s the wars we should be concentrating on stopping, not peoples personal decision. more people die through war on wealth, drugs and land than abortions. although abortion is a very strong word. I think we need to sort the world out and then maybe there will be smarter people with less need to go through the abortions.
